State v. Flah - No. 20120357
Case Summary
Kawo Flah appeals after a jury found him guilty of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Flah was charged with possession of paraphernalia after police officers discovered a glass pipe on the kitchen counter in his apartment. Police officers had come to the apartment in response to a domestic disturbance call. An officer testified during trial that Flah told one of the officers the pipe was his and he used it to smoke marijuana the previous evening. In his testimony, Flah denied making any statement regarding the pipe to the police officers and denied using the pipe.
On appeal, Flah argues the State improperly vouched for the truth and veracity of testimony of officers during its closing argument.
