In re J.N. - Nos. 20120389 & 20120390
Case Summary
B.N. appeals from a district court order terminating his parental rights to J.N. and J.N.
B.N. is the father and L.P. is the mother of J.N. and J.N. The parents and children at one time lived together in Georgia, but the mother and the children eventually moved to North Dakota. The children were removed from the mother's care by Barnes County Social Services in July 2010.
In December 2011, after attempts to reunite the children with the mother or the father were unsuccessful, the State petitioned to terminate the parental rights of the mother and the father The district court found that the children were deprived, that reasonable efforts had been made to reunite the children with the mother or the father, and that termination of parental rights was warranted.
On appeal, the father argues the district court erred in finding there was clear and convincing evidence to support termination of his parental rights and in finding that reasonable efforts were made to reunify the children with the family.in
