Order of Adoption

The 61st Legislative Assembly passed Senate Bill 2042 (2009 N.D. Sess. Laws ch. 149) which was signed by Governor Hoeven, relating to parental rights and responsibilities and parenting coordinators. On July 10, 2009, Cathy Ferderer, Family Law Mediation Program Administrator, on behalf of the Custody and Visitation Task Force of the State Bar Association of North Dakota, filed a proposed rule on the qualifications for parenting coordinators and maintaining a roster of parenting coordinators.. The Court considered the matter, and

ORDERED, that the proposed Rule for Parenting Coordinators, as further amended by this Court, is ADOPTED as N.D.R.Ct. 8.11, effective August 1, 2009.

The Supreme Court of the State of North Dakota convened July 22, 2009, with the Honorable Gerald W. VandeWalle, Chief Justice, and the Honorable Dale V. Sandstrom, the Honorable Mary Muehlen Maring, the Honorable Carol Ronning Kapsner, the Honorable Daniel J. Crothers, Justices, directing the Clerk of the Supreme Court to enter the above order.
