The minutes of the July 15, 2004 conference call were approved as distributed.
A letter from Judge Holum regarding retirement recognition was then discussed. Judge Hagerty question whether public funds could be given to a foundation in lieu of a plaque as requested in Judge Holum’s letter. It was moved and seconded that Mr. Gladden should have staff review this issue. Motion carried.
Chair Paulson then reviewed the November Judicial Conference agenda with the committee. It was suggested that time be allowed on the agenda business session for discussion of two bills that Attorney General Stenehjem wants to introduce. Mr. Gladden indicated that he could adjust the agenda to accommodate this request. After further discussion, it was moved and seconded that the draft agenda be approved with the addition of the presentation by Attorney General Stenehjem. Motion carried.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
