RE: Rule 31, N.D.R.App.P., Serving and Filing Briefs
The following amendments are proposed for Rule 31:
Consistent with the 2002 federal amendments, language is proposed that would make it clear that briefs must be served on unrepresented parties.
An update to subdivision (b) is proposed to remove references to filing of diskettes while still requiring an electronic copy of the brief to be filed.
A copy of the proposed amendments to Rule 31 is attached.
