RULE 1.1 SCOPE

Consistent with subject matter jurisdiction, these rules apply to all trial courts of this state in all civil and criminal cases, and to all appellate courts of this state unless a specific appellate rule, Supreme Court administrative rule, or Supreme Court order applies ~~unless there is a specific rule addressing the matter~~.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

Amended effective January 1, 1995; March 1, 1997.

Rule 1.1 was amended, effective January 1, 1995, to clarify that a rule in conflict with Rule 3.2 governs, such as when the conflicting rule provides different time requirements for serving and filing a motion.
