| RE: | Pilot Project |
| DATE: | October 10, 1997 |
The North Dakota Supreme Court is undertaking a pilot project and would greatly appreciate and encourage your participation. At this time, this is a voluntary project.
When filing your appellate briefs, the Court requests that you also provide a standard 3 inch computer disk containing your brief. We ask that you label the disk with the case name, docket number, and party (e.g. Appellant or Appellee), and provide information as to what format the brief is in, ie. WordPerfect 5.0, 6.1, 7.0; Microsoft Word or something else. If you have recently filed any briefs in cases where the opinion has not yet been filed, and the brief is still in your computer system, you are also encouraged to provide it on disk. We will also request that transcripts be provided on disk.
This project will enable us to use the disks for research and writing purposes, but also test different record management and storage alternatives.
Your participation and cooperation with this project is greatly appreciated.
