The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as distributed.
Information Technology Plan
Kurt informed the committee that the Information Technology Plan must be updated by March 15, 2002. The committee provided several topics for inclusion in the IT Plan

Security Changes and Proposed Changes.
Kurt provided a proposal for security scanning software. The software, along with other changes is designed to help ensure the security of the information systems, specifically the web server. The changes include regular scanning of the servers for known security holes and better monitoring of security updates.

Data Warehouse update
Kurt discussed progress with the data warehouse and invited the committee to review the web site. Currently, the contact card, ledger card, case profile, and court calendar information are available.

PCSS and UCIS
Kurt provided a status report of the PCSS and UCIS integration project. To date, the project is on budget and within the time schedule. Completion is anticipated to be in November, 2002
Grand Forks, SAMS and UCIS update
Kurt provided an update about the Grand Forks SAMS and UCIS integration efforts. The project has suffered several setbacks. Kurt believes that the project will be completed shortly after the first of the year.

Protection Order Update
Kurt provided an update about efforts related to providing full text of protection orders. Much of the design is complete and development is ongoing.

ITV - Jamestown and Fargo
Kurt stated that the equipment is in place in Jamestown and the proposed rule is under development.
Fargo is holding monthly meetings to discuss their use of ITV for in-custody proceedings from the new jail to the courthouse.
David Saxowski of NDSU was present to discuss the University's interactive video network (IVN) and possible cooperation on video systems as "community resources".

Kurt stated that the terms of Ted Gladden, Judge David Nelson and Fay McIntyre are to expire at the end of 2001. The chair will check with those members on their desire to remain on the committee.
