The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as distributed. Help desk statistics For informational purposes, Kurt provided a report of help desk calls received by district. He clarified that calls are assigned to a district based on the person making the help desk request. Therefore, calls from personnel such as Ted Gladden, Kurt Schmidt, Andrea Schmidt etc will be listed as "Supreme Court" calls when they may be calls related to a specific district. UCIS Expansion plans Kurt provided a map of the 10 counties proposed to be added to UCIS. As directed by the committee, the selection of the counties was based on filings not including administrative traffic. The 10 counties to be added by September 2002 are: Traill Doug Johnson moved to accept the proposal of adding the ten counties by September 2002. Ted Gladden second the motion. THE MOTION PASSED. Kurt will begin working on implementing the proposal. Data Warehouse update Kurt discussed progress with the data warehouse. Much of the foundation has been laid. He is still working on security and a few features before deploying the site. PCSS and UCIS A contract has been signed with Enterprise Solutions Inc. The first meetings are to be held in late September with the project to be completed by late 2002. Grand Forks, SAMS and UCIS update Kurt provided a brief update regarding SAMS and UCIS integration efforts. Some difficulties have been encountered and the implementation delayed from its initially anticipated date. Programming staff is currently working on the project. Protection Order Update Ted discussed the protection order project and its goal of providing full text of the protection order to Law Enforcement through BCI and State Radio. A committee of interested parties has been assembled to guide the project. Justice Sandstrom indicated that Adobe Acrobat may be a good alternative for use when filling the forms out online. Judge Leclerc raised concerns about the format of the standard protection order. ITV - Jamestown and Fargo Kurt mentioned that the necessary network configuration is in place in Jamestown and that the equipment will be moved there soon. The protocol subcommittee is in the process of completing their work. Fargo has just begun meeting to discuss using ITV for in-custody proceedings from their new jail to the courthouse. One meeting has been held to date. Proposed Meeting dates Meeting dates for upcoming Court Technology Committee meetings have been set. They are: March 15, 2002 CTC 7 attendance reports Several members discussed their experiences from the 7th Court Technology Conference. The meeting adjourned.
