Chair Simonson called the meeting to order at 8:30 am. The purpose of the special telephonic meeting was to consider the appeal of Bobbi Birrenkott. Chair Simonson referred the Board to the letter from Mike Sandal to Ted Gladden dated October 25, 2004. In the letter, Mr. Sandal outlines that Ms. Birrenkott first appealed his decision on July 8, 2004. After the denial, there was a ten day period in which Ms. Birrenkott could appeal again. Ms. Birrenkott grievance request was dated October 22, 2004. The issue before the Board is whether or not the appeal was timely or untimely. It was moved by Judge Hilden, seconded by Gladys Schmitt, that Ms. Birrenkott’s appeal is untimely and therefore should not be further considered. There being no discussion, the motion carried with one dissent and the appeal by Ms. Birrenkott deemed untimely.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
