The Executive Committee of the Judicial Conference met on February 24, 2011. Chair-Elect
Kapsner called the meeting to order at 8:32 a.m.
Judge McCullough moved to approve the minutes of the September 29, 2010 meeting. The
motion was seconded by Justice Crothers. The motion carried and the minutes were approved.
The Committee was advised that a vacancy exists on the Pattern Jury Instruction Commission
and that Judge Geiger has expressed interest in being appointed to the Commission. Justice
Crothers nominated Judge M. Richard Geiger to the Pattern Jury Instruction Commission. The
nomination was seconded by Judge Herman. There being no further nominations, Chair-Elect
Kapsner called for a vote on the nomination of Judge Geiger. Judge Geiger was unanimously
elected to a term on the Pattern Jury Instruction Commission.
Staff advised the committee that the next meeting will be scheduled in mid-April for the purpose
of reviewing and finalizing the date and schedule for the June Judicial Conference.
There being no further business to come before the committee, the chair-elect adjourned the
meeting at 8:36 a.m.
