Chair Dale V. Sandstrom called the meeting to order at 10:40 a.m. The minutes of the February 12, 2001 meeting were approved.
Chair Sandstrom announced there were two vacancies on the Continuing Judicial Education Commission. Peggy Larson's term has expired. She is eligible for reappointment and is willing to serve another term. Judge Robert O. Wefald moved she be reappointed. Judge Kirk Smith seconded the motion. Carried.
The second appointment is to fill the juvenile court position created by Robin Gense's declining an appointment. The Juvenile Court Association recommended the appointment of Shawn Peterson of Grand Forks. Judge James M. Bekken moved Shawn Peterson be appointed. Justice Mary Muehlen Maring seconded the motion. Carried.
The Executive Committee next discussed a draft of the Judicial Conference agenda. After discussion and minor changes, the attached agenda was approved.
The meeting adjourned at 11:00 a.m.
