Chair Jorgensen called the meeting to order at 8:15 a.m. and drew the members' attention to the first item on the agenda, the appointment of a working committee to develop a policy for out-of-state educational opportunities for judicial employees excluding judges and referees. Judge Jorgensen appointed Judge Bohlman, Chair; Dave McGeary, Judge McLees, Judge Simonson, Keithe Nelson and Carla Kolling to serve on the committee. Judge Geiger agreed to be an alternate if one of the other judges were unable to serve.
Education Budget 2001-2003 Biennium
Carla Kolling presented the education budget reflecting the adjustments made to the lodging allowance.
A motion was made by Judge Geiger, seconded by Justice Kapsner to approve the budget. The motion unanimously carried.
Chair Jorgensen informed the members that he preliminary approved a municipal judge's attendance at a national program in Reno in lieu of his attendance at the instate Municipal Judges Seminar. The members supported Chair Jorgensen's action.
The meeting adjourned at 8:40 a.m.
