Appellant's Statement of the Issues:
I.Whether the petitioners timely filed their notice of appeal within the sixty day period under N.D. R. App. P. 4.
II.Whether the district court erred when it denied petitioners' request to terminate G.V.D.'s parental rights and dismissed petitioners' petition for adoption.
III.Whether the district court erred when it ordered the petitioners to pay for half the expense of the guardian ad litem.
Appellee's Statement of the Issues:
I. Whether the trial court committed reversible err when it held D.D.F. and C.A.F. failed to prove by clear and convincing evidence the necessary elements to support the termination of a parent-child relationship in the context of a stepparent
adoption proceeding.
II. Whether Rule 2.2 of the North Dakota Rules of Appellate Procedure prohibits the North Dakota Supreme Court from considering this appeal.
Appellee's Statement of the Issues:
1.The Guardian ad Litem did not lose standing to continue to advocate for the minor child by withdrawing the report and recommendation filed prior to trial.
2.The trial court did not abuse its' discretion by ordering D.D.F. and C.A.F. to pay one-half of the fees of the Guardian ad Litem.
3.The Guardian ad Litem (GAL) agrees with G.V.D.'s statement of the issues in addition to those set forth above. The GAL takes no position regarding the issue involving Rule 2.2 N.D. R. App.P.
