The Supreme Court has approved the Committee's petitions for adoption of the 2001-2002 Annual Rules Package and the separate Appellate Rules Package.
The Committee will again consider amendments to N.D.R.App.P. 10 in response to adoption of the voir dire recording requirement under the new Standards Relating to Juror Use and Management.
The Committee will consider an amendment to N.D.R.Civ.P. 6 that would change the way time is counted after an item is served by mail or commercial carrier under N.D.R.Civ.P. 4.
The Committee will consider an amendment to N.D.R.Civ.P. 4 that would clarify that Rule 4 applies (unless otherwise specified) when service is required under a statute or order.
The Committee will consider integration of several of the ABA Discovery Guidelines into the North Dakota Rules of Civil Procedure.
The Committee will consider amendments to N.D.R.Civ. P. 16 intended to integrate ABA Discovery Guideline principles on Alternative Dispute Resolution into the North Dakota rules.
