Amendments to Rule 25 are proposed to specify that service by electronic means is authorized, regardless of what means were used to file the appeal. The rule was previously amended to allow filing by electronic means. The proposed amendment is based on the 2002 federal amendment.
Administrative Order 14, which supplements Rule 25, already requires electronic service, when possible, when an item is filed electronically with the Supreme Court. It also provides specific instructions for electronic filing and service. Proposed amendments to Rule 25's explanatory note cross-reference Admin. Order 14.
