RE: Rule 1.1, N.D.R.Ct., Scope; Rule 4.2, N.D.R.Ct., Notice to Interested Parties
As part of the process of developing the proposed Rules of Juvenile Procedure, the Juvenile Policy Board considered whether any rule amendments would need to be made elsewhere in the procedural rules.
The Board requested that this Committee consider amendment of Rule 1.1 so it would state specifically that the Rules of Court apply to juvenile matters. The Board also requested that Rule 4.2's repeal be considered because its subject matter is now covered by proposed N.D.R.Juv.P. 15.
Proposed amendments to Rule 1.1 and Rule 4.2 are attached.
