RE: Rule 16, N.D.R.Civ.P., Pretrial Conferences, Scheduling, Management
The Committee considered proposed form and style amendments to Civil Rule 16 at the April meeting. The Committee directed Staff to make changes to the terminology used in the proposal and bring the proposal back for further consideration.
The revised proposal is attached. Consistent with the Committee's instructions, the term "pretrial conference" is used throughout the proposal in describing conferences held under the rule.
The other amendments to the rule, which were presented to the Committee in April, are intended to be consistent with the federal form and style amendments.
