Seven lawyers have submitted applications for East Central District judgeship chambered in Fargo being vacated by retiring Judge Georgia Dawson on Sept 1.
The deadline for applications to arrive in the State Bar Association of North Dakota office was March 18.
The applicants for the judgeship are:
Susan L. Bailey West Fargo Constance L. Cleveland Fargo Jason M. Hastings Fergus Falls Maureen Holman Fargo Lisa K. Fair McEvers Fargo Nancy J. Morris Fargo DeAnn M. Pladson Fargo
The Judicial Nominating Committee will interview the applicants on April 23 at Fargo. The three temporary members who will serve with the six regular commmittee members are Russell F. Freeman, Norman G. Anderson, and Stacey Tjon Bossart.
Once the Committee has completed the interview process and has made its recommendations to Governor Hoeven, by law he will have thirty days to make a selection from the list of nominees, ask for a new list, or call a special election to fill the vacancy.
