People seeking to file documents electronically in North Dakota's district courts must now use the new Odyssey® Case Management System, which is in place statewide.
Prior to Odyssey® system implementation, parties could use e-mail for electronic filing under Administrative Order 16. This is no longer permitted -- parties must now follow the procedure in the Odyssey® addendum to Administrative Order 16.Before using the Odyssey® system for electronic filing, users must register with the system. The steps for registration are listed below. For law firms, one individual from each firm must complete steps 1 and 2. Every law firm user must complete step 3 to obtain a user ID and password. Individual users must complete all three steps.
The first step is to sign up for e-file and serve on-line training:
a. Go to http://efile.ndcourts.gov/eFileTraining/
b. Choose a date and time to attend the training
c. Complete the registration process
d. Once the registration process has been completed, you will receive an email with a GoToMeeting invite and a phone number to use for the on-line training
The second step is to register for an e-file and serve account and firm administrator user ID:
a. Go to https://northdakota.tylerhost.net/
b. Click on Register Now and complete the steps to register
The third step is to complete an electronic filing and document access agreement:
a. Go to http://www.ndcourts.gov/cle/agreement.pdf
b. Complete the agreement and mail in to the address on the form
c. Law firm users will receive an e-mail with their document access user ID and password after it is verified that someone from the law firm has completed the e-file and serve on-line training.
