Brig. Gen. Alan Dohrmann, deputy adjutant general of the North Dakota National Guard, honored Justice Carol Kapsner in a ceremony at the Ralph J. Erickstad Courtroom Sept. 18.
Dohrman presented a certificate of appreciation to Kapsner in recognition of her work in support of the Guard's Women's Equality Day on Aug. 15.
The certificate states that Kapsner's "clever and insightful words were an inspiration to men and women alike."
Kapsner worked together with Capt. James Wiese at the Women's Equality Day presentation. Wiese, a Grand Forks attorney who serves with the Guard, presented Kapsner with a commemorative coin at the courtroom ceremony.
Dohrmann, who is the second highest ranking officer in the North Dakota National Guard, is a 1993 University of North Dakota School of Law graduate.
