Allen C. Hoberg will retire Dec. 13 from his position as director of North Dakota's Office of Administrative Hearings. He has directed the office since it was established in 1991.
His retirement comes after more than 32 years of service as a state employee. He served more than 22 years with OAH, three years with the Legislative Council, and seven years with the Office of Attorney General.
Hoberg will move to private legal practice in Bismarck after his retirement.
"I have an LL.M. in Agricultural Law and will be practicing primarily in agricultural law with the Baumstark Braaten Law Partners," he said. "I have enjoyed working in state government all these years and will miss the work and the people but I accepted this new position because I wanted a new challenge."
Hoberg is a 1972 graduate of the University of North Dakota and served in the U.S. Army military police from 1972-1974. He received his law degree from the UND School of Law in 1977.
