Summary of Work:
Duties of this position include working with the appeals supervisor in administrative and provider appeals, helping to assess and address the impacts of the Federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act on the department, and serving as the civil rights officer and the ADA compliance officer for the department. Additional duties may include assisting in the creation and adoption of administrative rules; preparing reports for and appearing before legislative interim committees; consulting with the Office of Attorney General regarding litigation; providing legal advice to various programs; preparing bill drafts; researching legal issues; and other duties as assigned.
