Cruff, Greenwood elected district judge

Two contested judgeships:

Cruff, Greenwood elected district judge

Assistant Barnes County State's Attorney Brad Cruff defeated longtime District Judge Richard Grosz in Tuesday's general election while Dickinson attorney Dann Greenwood defeated Stark County State's Attorney Tom Henning and will succeed retiring Judge Patrick Weir.

Supreme Court Justice Dan Crothers and 13 other district judges were elected without opposition.

Brad CruffCruff is an Assistant State's Attorney for Barnes County. He is a graduate of the University of North Dakota School of Law and was admitted to the bar in 1994.
	Richard GroszGrosz was elected district judge in 1994, 2000 and 2006. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Law and was admitted to the bar in 1985.
SWJD Judgeship No. 3
Dann GreenwoodGreenwood is an attorney at Greenwood & Ramsey, PLLP, in Dickinson. He is a graduate of the University of North Dakota School of Law and was admitted to the bar in 1977.
	Tom HenningHenning is State's Attorney for Stark County. He is a graduate of the University of North Dakota School of Law and was admitted to the bar in 1979.
The following judges ran unopposed on this year's ballot:

NEJD Judgeship No. 6 — Richard GeigerJudge Geiger was elected 1994, 2000 and 2006. He is a graduate of the University of North Dakota School of Law and was admitted to the bar in 1979.
