Miller receives bar admissions award
Penny Miller, Clerk of the North Dakota Supreme Court and Secretary-Treasurer of the North Dakota State Board of Law Examiners, was recognized as the Outstanding Bar Admissions Administrator at the recent annual meeting of the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE) and Council of Bar Admissions Administrators (CBAA) in Burlington, Vermont.
The award was presented to Miller by Rebecca S. Thiem, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the National Conference of Bar Examiners. While acknowledging Miller's many years of service to North Dakota and the CBAA, Thiem cited Miller's proactive leadership both statewide and nationally in the bar admissions field for the award.
Miller has held the North Dakota positions since 1992. She is only the fourth Clerk of the Supreme Court since North Dakota became a state in 1889.
