How did you happen to become a judge?
Pure serendipity. I was in the right age range at a time when a vacancy occurred with a person in the White House of the proper political persuasion. The friendship with Senator Mark Andrews didn't hurt a bit either.
What do you most like about being a judge?
Not having to call a claims' manager or a client and advise them of a result not exactly as planned. (In fact, many were classifiable as total disasters.) The ability to hide what I am wearing beneath a robe is also a plus.
What are some things most people don't know about you?
Hopefully, those things which I trust will stay hidden.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
A. Choral group singing.
B. Discussing weighty matters with Reginald, the old Rolls Royce, while attending to various of his needed grooming problems, particularly during TV prime times.
C. Playing gin rummy with former political cronies.
