Registration is open for Family Law Basics, a free eight-hour Continuing Legal Education course.
The course has been scheduled at the Burleigh County Courthouse with two-hour sessions at 4 p.m. on Mondays October 30, November 6, November 13, and November 20.
The course is sponsored by the judges and referees of the South Central Judicial District, the State Bar Association of North Dakota, and the Big Muddy Bar Association. Attorneys have volunteered to assist in presenting the course.
The course is open to attorneys and legal assistants, but space is limited and registration is required. Participants will be asked to accept a reduced fee or pro bono family law case in the year following the program, if they are able to do so. Legal assistants who participate will be asked to assist with a reduced fee or pro bono case if their employment allows them to do so.
To register, contact Ronda Colby either by e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 701-222-6682, ext. 116. Participants must provide their names, e-mail addresses, and phone numbers.
