Ten lawyers have applied for the North Dakota Supreme Court vacancy created by the resignation of Justice William Neumann.
The deadline for applications to arrive in the State Bar Association of North Dakota office passed at 5:00 p.m., Friday, April 22.
The applicants for Justice of the Supreme Court are:

Jonathan F. Christensen, Grand Forks
Daniel J. Crothers, Fargo
Thomas D. Kelsch, Mandan
Lisa K Fair McEvers, Fargo
David E. Reich, Bismarck
Todd A. Schwarz, Bismarck
Gregory B. Stites, Kansas City and Bismarck
Thomas L. Trenbeath, Cavalier
The nominating committee has scheduled applicant interviews for the week of May 30 in Bismarck. Prior to the interviews, the State Bar Association will conduct a survey of its members, requesting them to evaluate the applicants.
The nominating committee is required to submit a list of not fewer than two nor more than seven nominees to Governor Hoeven.
Once the Committee has completed the interview process and has made its recommendations to Governor Hoeven, by law he will have thirty days to make a selection from the list of nominees.
