Scoutmaster for Scout troop consisting of Scouts ages 12 through 15. Responsibilities include supervising Scout meetings, activities and campouts; providing instruction, assistance, and encouragement to help Scouts complete merit badges and meet rank advancement goals; and providing leadership training.
Youth leader, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. January 2005 to present.
Responsibilities include assisting in organizing and supervising youth activities; providing youth leadership training; preparing and presenting Sunday religious lessons; and working with youth in setting and achieving goals in a personal progress program.
Bishop, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. October 1994 to December 2004.
Minister for the Bismarck/Mandan congregation of approximately 500 members. Responsibilities included overall administration of all congregation programs and activities (i.e., Sunday services, youth and adult instruction, youth and adult programs and activities); fiscal management of donations and expenses; administer church welfare assistance program; perform weddings and funerals; visit and counsel congregation members; and perform all other clergy duties. Position was voluntary (the Church has no paid clergy) and required an average of 20 to 25 hours a week.
