The next meeting of the Ward County Bar Association will be held today at noon in the International Inn (Candlelight Room II).
Today's speaker will be Professor Bradley Myers, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Research and Randy H. Lee Professor of Law at the University of North Dakota. Professor Myers has recently co-authored The Law of Science and the Science of Law, a casebook on forensic science.
Professor Myers' book provides valuable insight into the practical application of science in courtroom cases. The book illustrates several legal and courtroom procedures in which one of the authors, a chemist, acted as an expert witness. The cases discussed in the book include drunk driving, house fires, poison products, floods, and slip and fall.
