Proposed Amendments to the North Dakota Rules of Civil Procedure

On September 29, 2003, the Joint Procedure Committee forwarded amendments to N.D.R.Civ.P. 16, relating to Pretrial Conferences, Scheduling, and Management. A copy is attached. On December 3, 2003, the proposed amendments to N.D.R.Civ.P. 16 were distributed for comment. Comments were due by December 31, 2003, and all comments were referred to the Court. The Joint Procedure Committee also forwarded proposed amendments to N.D.R.Civ.P. 40, relating to assignment of cases for trial. A copy is attached. The Court considered the matter, and

ORDERED, that a hearing be held on the proposed amendments, 2:45 p.m., Thursday, February 5, 2004, in the Ralph J. Erickstad Courtroom of the Supreme Court, at the State Capitol in Bismarck, North Dakota. Time for personal appearances will be limited. Any person wishing to appear must notify Penny Miller, Clerk of the Supreme Court, at least three days prior to the scheduled hearing. Any person wishing to comment on the proposed amendments may do so in writing prior to the hearing.
