ORDER OF ADOPTION

Proposed Amendments to the North Dakota Admission to Practice Rules

On July 19, 2007, the State Bar Association of North Dakota filed a Petition for Amendment of Rule 13 and Promulgation of a New Rule 18, North Dakota Admission to Practice Rules, relating to the disclosure of professional liability insurance coverage. The Supreme Court issued a Notice of Comment on July 26, 2007, and allowed until September 12, 2007, for written comments. Written comments were received and referred to the Court. The Court considered the matter, and

ORDERED, the proposal of the State Bar Association be incorporated into Rule 1.15 of the North Dakota Rules of Professional Conduct, and, as further amended, the amendments to Rule 1.15 are hereby ADOPTED, effective for license years beginning 2008.

The Supreme Court of the State of North Dakota convened October 11, 2007, with the Honorable Gerald W. VandeWalle, Chief Justice, and the Honorable Dale V. Sandstrom, the Honorable Mary Muehlen Maring, the Honorable Carol Ronning Kapsner, the Honorable Daniel J. Crothers, Justices, directing the Clerk of the Supreme Court to enter the above order.
