Proposed Administrative Rule 55 - Income Tax Return Setoff for Unpaid Court-Ordered Fines, Fees, and Costs
On August 1, 2007, the State Court Administrator filed a proposed administrative rule which would allow the courts to collect past due court fees and fines through tax intercept. The Court considered the matter, and
ORDERED, that proposed Administrative Rule 55, as amended by the Court, is ADOPTED effective September 1, 2007.
The Supreme Court of the State of North Dakota convened August 23, 2007, with the Honorable Gerald W. VandeWalle, Chief Justice, and the Honorable Dale V. Sandstrom, the Honorable Mary Muehlen Maring, the Honorable Carol Ronning Kapsner, the Honorable Daniel J. Crothers, Justices, directing the Clerk of the Supreme Court to enter the above order.
