Proposed Rule on Authorization to Practice Law for Attorneys Volunteering with Approved Legal Services Organizations, North Dakota Admission to Practice Rules
On January 5, 2009, the Joint Committee on Attorney Standards filed a request for a proposed rule relating to the authorization to practice law for attorneys volunteering with approved legal services organizations. The proposed rule would allow an attorney not licensed in North Dakota to be authorized to practice law for the limited purpose of providing civil legal assistance as an unpaid volunteer under the supervision of an approved legal services organization. A copy of the proposed rule is attached. The Court considered the matter, and
