Odyssey User Group update
The User Group has worked on form clean-up, standardizing rejection guidelines for e-filing, and several sizing requests with Tyler Technologies. The group is working on juvenile data collection at the request of the Court Improvement Committee. They are working to create additional dispositions and adjudication, as well as, hearing result options for more consistent data.
Justice Crothers, Justice Sandstrom, Judge Racek and Larry attended the Tyler Executive Forum. Larry had the opportunity to speak with several key people of Tyler Technologies to relay his continued concerns. Judge Racek stated we have not received any tangible results since the meeting began in February.
Odyssey 2013 status
We are currently on Clerks Session Works 1.5 and Odyssey 2012. We have to upgrade both at the same time as the older versions are not compatible with the newer ones. At this point, we are unable to upgrade due to issues with Session Works 3.0. A couple of weeks ago we spent a lot of time with the product owner, Sarah Farr. Larry received a promise from her that they would put the functionality of Session Works 1.5 back into 3.0. He does not have any specific dates but anticipates it to take at least 6 weeks.
Common Statute Table status
Larry received emails from Brian Nybakken with CJIS stating a portion of the criminal offense codes and drugs codes will be up-loadable next week. There is still substantial work to be completed before the entire table would be usable. No ETA at this time.
Tyler gave us 2 different tools to import the codes into Odyssey. The Minnesota version will not work for us however we are trying to make use of the Texas version. We continue to work with Jim Gienger on error messages received when trying to upload.
Draft 2015-2017 IT Budget status
Larry made the changes requested to the draft budget after the last Court Technology meeting and forwarded them to the Supreme Court. He had several meetings with them to answer questions. He has not received any further information on the disaster recovery solution with regard to an active/passive or active/active arrangement. He has also not heard anything on the Juvenile Court solution. Larry submitted the draft IT budget to ITD and included a range for the disaster recovery portion.
For the Good of the Order
LeAnn asked if municipal courts have the capability to utilize File & Serve. Larry stated they do not at this time due to required configuration changes and financial processes. Sally questioned if the municipal court receives any cases that contain filing fees. Judge Racek stated they would only have the ability to take subsequent filings at this time if there werent any other issues that had to be resolved first.
The meeting was adjourned by Judge Racek. The next meeting is scheduled for November 14th, 2014.
