The North Dakota Court System continues to closely monitor federal, state and local responses to the COVID-19 outbreak. We recognize that the pandemic continues to pose a threat to individuals and to present challenges to the administration of the justice system. -

Bismarck attorney Arnold “Arnie” Fleck, 63, died April 1. He was a UND School of Law graduate and was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1983. Funeral services will be held April 7 at Legacy Methodist Church in Bismarck. -
Court revises pandemic emergency orders
Because of conditions that indicate abatement of the pandemic, effective April 1 the Supreme Court has repealed or amended several orders related to the COVID-19 judicial emergency. -
Helen Hamilton upends American Bar Association Convention in 1915

Kermit Bye 1937-2021
Former U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Kermit Bye died March 20. A 1962 graduate of the UND School of Law, he was confirmed to the 8th Circuit bench in 2000. Memorial services will be held March 27 at Hope Lutheran Church in Fargo. -
Dorothy Adam 1940-2021
Longtime Cavalier County Clerk of Court Dorothy Adam died March 22. She started working for Cavalier County in 1972 and served as Clerk of Court for more than 20 years. Funeral services will be held March 27 at United Lutheran Church in Langdon. -
