Longtime Assistant United States Attorney Gary Annear died Dec. 9. A UND School of Law graduate, he was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1960. A family memorial service will be held on Monday, Dec. 14 at 1 p.m., and will be livestreamed.
Walfrid B. Hankla 1930-2020

The St. Joseph’s Community Health Foundation awarded the Minot Association of Drug Court Professionals a $2,000 grant for their incentive program with the North Central Juvenile Drug Court. Meanwhile, the John & Elaine Andrist Charitable Trust awarded $1,000 to the Northwest Juvenile Drug Court.

The United States Supreme Court has issued opinions in a case on a state law regulating drug sales, a case on limitation periods for military offenses, a case on state judicial appointments, and a case on whether money damages can be obtained for violations of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.
