Administrative Rule 15 - TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENTS OF JUDGES

Section 1.

The Chief Justice is hereby authorized to assign judges, including retired judges, for temporary duty in any court or district, to perform such specific duties as may be assigned by the Chief Justice or by the Presiding Judge of the Judicial District with the approval of the Chief Justice.

Section 2.

The Chief Justice shall make each temporary assignment setting forth the general purpose and term of the assignment and such other information as he deems appropriate.

Section 3.

The assignment of a retired judge shall be made only with the prior consent of the retired judge.

Section 4.

The term of each temporary assignment shall be for such period of time, not to exceed one year, as designated by the Chief Justice. Renewed periods of temporary duty may be assigned by the Chief Justice after consultation with the Supreme Court. The Chief Justice may terminate the assignment at any time.
