Job Announcement - Assistant State’s Attorney Wednesday, March 10, 2021

McKenzie County is currently accepting applications for a full time Assistant State’s Attorney. 

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO :

• Juris Doctorate and one (1) year of experience in criminal litigation and two (2) years in an active law practice; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
• North Dakota license to practice law at the time of hire
• Applying Federal, State, and local laws, rules and regulations
• Knowledge of judicial and administrative procedures and rules of evidence
• Experience prosecuting or defending criminal cases
• Ability to analyze facts, evidence, and legal instruments as well as, legal problems and rendering formal opinions
• Willingness and desire to learn new and challenging tasks
