Job Announcement - State’s Attorney Tuesday, April 13, 2021
Bottineau County will accept applications May 14th at 4:00 pm for the position of State’s Attorney. The part-time nature of this position allows prospective applicants to maintain a private law practice in addition to serving as State’s Attorney. This is a 1.5 year appointment to the position (mid 2021 through 2022) with the option to run for election in 2022 for an elected term to follow.
Salary Range: $5,114/month - $7,194/month, DOE
Minimum Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- Licensed, eligible to be licensed, or awaiting bar admission results to practice law in the State of North Dakota; results must be obtained prior to appointment by Commission.
- Reasonable interpersonal communication skills and affable manner toward support staff, county colleagues, law enforcement agencies, court personnel, and the general public.
- Previous experience prosecuting or defending criminal cases is strongly preferred but not required.
- Successful applicant will be subject to a post-offer criminal background check.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
