I would like to be considered for nomination to the office of District Court Judge in the South Central Judicial District. I have been a life-long resident of North Dakota. I was raised on a small farm east of New Salem. It was working on the farm where I obtained a strong work ethic that has served me throughout my life. I attended school in New Salem, where I graduated in the top four of my class. I then went to the University of North Dakota where I obtained my undergraduate degree in criminal justice studies. I graduated magna cum laude. I also went to law school at UND where I graduated with distinction and in the top ten of my class. I got married in 2007 and started a family in 2008. I am married with three young children.

Summary of Education:

 New Salem High School graduated May 1997.

 University of North Dakota, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Studies Magna Cum Laude in May 2001.

    University of North Dakota Law School, graduated from law school With Distinction in May of 2004.

Summary of Legal Experience:

 2003-Interned under Bismarck attorney, Richard Baer.

 2003-2004-Practiced under the senior practice rule under Richard Baer.

 2004-2008-Solo practitioner with a varied practice including federal and state criminal practice, bankruptcy, personal injury, family law, estates and wills, real estate litigation, landlord-tenant, administrative law, juvenile law, general civil litigation, and Supreme Court appellate work.

 2008-present-Formed Justin D. Hager, P.C. The professional corporation is still a solo practice, but the practice is now more specialized in family law with areas like the federal litigation and bankruptcy being eliminated from the practice.
