Walsh County -- Grafton, ND

 

Walsh County is accepting applications for the position of Assistant State’s Attorney. This is a full-time position located in the Walsh County Courthouse in Grafton, North Dakota. This position serves under the direction of the Walsh County State’s Attorney, and assists as legal counsel and advisor to the county. The Walsh County Assistant State’s Attorney also represents the state in criminal cases and acts as prosecutor in cases assigned by the State’s Attorney. Walsh County offers an excellent benefit package and a salary range of $7,277 - $10,093/month, DOE.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of North Dakota at the time of hiring.
  • Previous experience prosecuting or defending criminal cases is preferred but not required.
  • Successful applicant will be subject to a post-offer criminal background check.
  • May consider underfilling position if applicant is awaiting bar exam results.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties as outlined in the NDCC Chapter 11-16.
