General Summary or Purpose:

The Chief Deputy Clerk of the Supreme Court is the second-in-command for an exciting and fast-paced office.  The Chief Deputy reviews all cases for appealability as well as researches and writes memos for the Justices on those issues.  The Chief Deputy helps manage filings in the Clerk's office, formal attorney discipline filings, and licensure of attorneys.  The Clerk's office staff of five benefit from having both the Chief Deputy and the Clerk to ask questions.  There is something new to be learned every day and frequent opportunities to interact with the public and attorneys.
