Proposed Amendments to Rule 16,
North Dakota Rules of Civil Procedure

On September 29, 2003, the Joint Procedure Committee forwarded amendments to N.D.R.Civ.P. 16, relating to Pretrial Conferences, Scheduling, and Management. The Court considered the proposed rule and made further amendments. A copy of the proposed rule is attached.

ORDERED, any person wishing to comment on the proposed amendments should do so in writing as soon as possible but no later than Wednesday, December 31, 2003. Written comments may be e-mailed to Penny Miller, Clerk of the Supreme Court, at supclerkofcourt@ndcourts.gov, or addressed to 600 E. Boulevard Ave., Dept. 180, Bismarck, ND 58505-0530.

The Supreme Court of the State of North Dakota convened December 3, 2003, with the Honorable Gerald W. VandeWalle, Chief Justice, the Honorable William A. Neumann, the Honorable Dale V. Sandstrom, the Honorable Mary Muehlen Maring, and the Honorable Carol Ronning Kapsner, Justices, directing the Clerk of the Supreme Court to enter the above order.
