Notice of Comment Wednesday, May 1, 2013

[1] The 63rd Legislative Assembly passed Senate Bill 2002, which has been signed by the Governor, and will become effective July 1, 2013. This legislation provides for two additional district court judge in the Northwest Judicial District, with the chambers to be assigned by the Supreme Court. The Court considered the matter, and

[2] ORDERED, the Court will accept comments on the assignment of the resident chamber for new Judgeship No. 11 in the Northwest Judicial District under N.D. Sup. Ct. Admin. R. 7.1. Any person wishing to comment on the matter may do so in writing no later than May 31, 2013.

[3] It is expected the Supreme Court will receive a report discussing the factors under N.D. Sup. Ct. Admin. R. 7.1, Section 4, for each of the counties in the Northwest Judicial District from the Trial Court Administrator for Unit 4. Written comments may be e-mailed to Penny Miller, Clerk of the Supreme Court, at supclerkofcourt@ndcourts.gov, or addressed to 600 E. Boulevard Ave., Bismarck, ND 58505-0530.

[4] The Supreme Court of the State of North Dakota convened this 1st day of May, 2013, with the Honorable Gerald W. VandeWalle, Chief Justice, and the Honorable Dale V. Sandstrom, the Honorable Mary Muehlen Maring, the Honorable Carol Ronning Kapsner and the Honorable Daniel J. Crothers, Justices, directing the Clerk of the Supreme Court to enter the above order.
