ORDER OF ADOPTION

Proposed Amendments to North Dakota Supreme Court Administrative Rule 6.1 regarding Administrative Units, and Rule 46 regarding Duties and Appointment of the Clerk of District Court

[¶ 1] On May 24, 2016, the State Court Administrator, Sally Holewa, forwarded to Chief Justice Gerald VandeWalle draft amendments to North Dakota Supreme Court Administrative Rule 6.1 regarding Administrative Units and Rule 46 regarding the Duties and Appointment of the Clerk of District Court. The amendments were proposed to primarily clarify oversight of work performed by the county-employed clerks of court. The proposed amendments are available at http://www.ndcourts.gov/Court/Notices/Notices.htm. The Court considered the matter, and

[¶ 2] ORDERED, that proposed amendments to North Dakota Supreme Court Administrative Rule 6.1 are ADOPTED, effective August 1, 2016.

[¶ 2] IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that proposed amendments to North Dakota Supreme Court Administrative Rule 46 are ADOPTED, effective August 1, 2016.

[¶ 3] The Supreme Court of the State of North Dakota convened the 29th day of June, 2016, with the Honorable Gerald W. VandeWalle, Chief Justice, and the Honorable Dale V. Sandstrom, the Honorable Carol Ronning Kapsner, the Honorable Daniel J. Crothers, and the Honorable Lisa Fair McEvers, Justices, directing the Clerk of the Supreme Court to enter the above order.
