In the Matter of a Petition to Terminate the Special Provision of Legal Services by Qualified Attorneys From Outside North Dakota

[¶1] On September 11, 2017, a Petition to Terminate the Special Provision of Legal Services by Qualified Attorneys from Outside North Dakota was filed by the Judges of the South Central Judicial District requesting that only attorneys actively representing a client and listed as attorney of record on the date of the filing of the petition should be allowed to continue under the special provisions adopted by the Supreme Court on January 18, 2017. The petition is available at http://www.ndcourts.gov/Court/Notices/Notices.htm. Individuals who do not have internet access may contact the Office of the Clerk of the Supreme Court to obtain a copy of the proposal.

[¶2] ORDERED, any person wishing to comment on the petition may do so in writing no later than 4:00 p.m., Monday, October 2, 2017. Written comments may be e-mailed to Penny Miller, Clerk of the Supreme Court, at supclerkofcourt@ndcourts.gov, or addressed to 600 E. Boulevard Ave., Bismarck, ND 58505-0530.

[¶3] The Supreme Court of the State of North Dakota, with the Honorable Gerald W. VandeWalle, Chief Justice, and the Honorable Daniel J. Crothers, the Honorable Lisa Fair McEvers, the Honorable Jerod E. Tufte and the Honorable Jon J. Jensen, Justices, directed the Clerk of the Supreme Court to enter the above order.
