In the Matter of Judicial Redistricting

Following the filing of the Order and dissent in Vacancy in the Matter of the Vacancy in Judgeship No. 6, Northeast Judicial District, 2017 ND 181, a majority of the Court agreed to accept comments on whether Walsh County should be moved from the Northeast Judicial District to the Northeast Central Judicial District.

ORDERED, that any person wishing to comment on whether Walsh County should be moved to the Northeast Central Judicial District may do so in writing no later than Monday, September 11, 2017. Written comments may be e-mailed to Penny Miller, Clerk of the Supreme Court, at supclerkofcourt@ndcourts.gov, or addressed to 600 E. Boulevard Ave., Bismarck, ND 58505-0530.

The Supreme Court of the State of North Dakota convened the 26th day of July, 2017, with the Honorable Gerald W. VandeWalle, Chief Justice, and the Honorable Carol Ronning Kapsner, the Honorable Daniel J. Crothers and the the Honorable Jerod E. Tufte, Justices, directing the Chief Deputy Clerk of the Supreme Court to enter the above order. The Honorable Lisa Fair McEvers, Justice, voted against the action.
