Born 1951 in Hettinger, ND. Undergraduate B.A. degree from University of North Dakota in 1973. J.D. degree from University of North Dakota Law School in 1978. Bowman County State's Attorney 1978-83. Private practice in Minnesota 1983-87. Private practice in North Dakota 1987-1990. Elected Multi-County Judge in 1990. Elected Southwest Judicial District Judge in 1994, 2000, 2006, 2012. Retired as district judge 2015. Married: wife, Bonnie. Three daughters.
