Interpretation
The North Dakota Standards for Imposing Lawyer Sanctions are based on the Standards of Imposing Lawyer Sanctions (February, 1986) of the American Bar Association. The ABA document includes detailed commentaries on each standard which should be reviewed in understanding and applying these standards.
